Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Ensure customers feel valued and appreciated by warmly welcoming them, answering questions regarding products and store layout, and addressing any issues they may have, including escalating concerns when necessary.
• Cash Handling: Perform cash handling duties, which include managing the cash register and securing it at the end of the day.
• Sales Promotion: Announce ongoing sales programs, reward plans, and exclusive offers to keep shoppers aware. Persuade shoppers to join Home Depot's credit card program.
• Bagging and Packaging: Properly bagging and packaging customers' purchases is important to ensure that items are protected during transport. Furthermore, offering to assist with loading any large or heavy items can help improve the overall shopping experience.
• Safety and Cleanliness: To prevent accidents in the checkout area, maintain it in a clean and orderly fashion. Always adhere to the safety guidelines and regulations.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with fellow associates to ensure that the store runs smoothly and efficiently, resulting in a positive customer experience.

Qualifications:

• Education: The educational prerequisite includes a high school diploma or its substitute.
